Ooooh, he was getting ticked off by the female by the second. Zero's trust toward him was now wavering, though Cyris supposed it was to be expected with so many traitors popping up. But even so, Cyris had been working with this pack practically all his life and devoted his loyalty to it. This was nearly a stab in the back, and it took all his willpower to contain the look of offense and denial from appearing on his visage.
"No, sir," he said in his regular monotone, drawing his ears back and lowering his head lightly to show his submission. "I would never dream of it, I know my place and keep it and not dare challenge anyone higher than myself, and have been doing so for all my life within this pack. I have even been waiting here for your return so that I may report to you what I have heard from Xander's pack. If I am allowed to ask, may I ask what it is I have done wrong so that I may correct myself?" The innocent act was almost genuine... when it literally was. It would of been an act except Cyris was sincerely wondering what Kali had said to Zero to get him into trouble, once more reminded of a brother and sister arguing and now being confronted. Though there was a goal to it as well, in order to avoid any harm happening to his own reputation and position in the pack, he'll have to keep to Zero's good side and prove that there was nothing to worry about from him, and, hopefully, get him to be more cautious and less trustworthy of Kali in the process.
