Awiti's eyes grew wide as she saw the baboon, "just don't bring him back home or he will be breakfast." Awiti kept a serious look on her face while saying this, it simply was the truth, Runo had that look on his face that Awiti knew all to well from growing up with him. If anything were to go bad over the next few hours before Korvo decided to leave, Runo would take his life. She hurried back to the clearing before anyone would notice how long they had been gone, "hurry Korvo" awiti said in a low whisper " or they will think we are up to no good."
Once returning back Awiti sat near Baba and began asking quesion after question to him. He appeared to be alone and Awiti was puzzled as to how he could survive ans hunt on his own. "Do you have a pride mister," Awiti asked trying to find out this strangers past without prying to much. Before Baba could even answer Awiti had rattled off many more quesitons including "do you have a den nearby or are you lost? Have you always been alone?" She stared at Baba waiting for his repsonse.

Baba tried to answer her questions as well as he could, but sometimes he didn';t have time to answer before she moved on to the next question.
"No, I don't have a pride. I'm a wanderer, I travel all over the place, so I don't settle down and stay in one place too much. Sometimes I'll find a pride that'll let me hang around for a day or so, but a lot react pretty bad to me wandering into their territory."

"fine"ziro unless "i call for help please dont come ok? and dont throw rocks cause weve had problems remember the hyena pack?"

"awiti" he whsipered "my pride may come looking for me if im not home by midnight and i was wondering if you'd like to join my pride you'd be able to see siro kero again. and we own tons of land but if not then you guys are welcome to come into our land without trouble. or maybe me and runo could negotiate so that you guys would have a piece of land that when the migration come wildebeest gather."

Awiti's face lit up when Baba talked about being a wanderer free to go anywhere he pleased. She smiled at him and got up to walk back over and speak with Korvo. Her eyes opened wide when Korvo asked her to leave but she quickly said "no" kind of loudly to him. She raised her head to look and see if Runo had heard her outcry. Although she had not meant it to sound forceful it did and she feared that Korvo or Runo would get the wrong idea. "Sorry Korvo" she said in a whisper "but I can not leave my family, and it sounds like you have your own waiting for you." She turned to walk away and laid down by her mother and sister

"yeah i understand" korvo layed down and his ears perked up he heard laughter "hyenas" "HYENAS awiti shouldnt we tell everyone." he sniffed the air "theres at least 50 of them!" he growled a little then ran towards the hyenas that were in sight 10 hyenas piled on korvo while roaring he was trying to derect all attention towards him so that they wouldnt harm anyone else he slashed and bit 11 and the others finnaly brought him down he layed there injured they started running towards awiti baba and everyone else he closed his eyes and couldnt watch if the hyenas got the upper hand on them

The scent of hyenas wasn't an unfamiliar one to Runo as the male perked his head up and looked over the surroundings. There were hyenas indeed-- and they were coming for his family! With a swift jump out of the tree, Runo's body trembled the ground under him slightly while he rushed forward to charge them off. For most of them staying, there was a few of them that backed out and ran off past the rest of the felines, but the persistant ones latched onto his back and started to dig their claws and jaws into his flesh. Runo's throat let out a frustrated roar but he launched forward, rolling onto his back while in midair and causing his 450 pound body to slam onto the ground with the hyenas breaking him free of the grapple they had on him.

He wasn't as concerned about himself as he was his family, looking around frantically over the attacking mutts to see how his siblings and mother were fairing. Knowing full well that Muren was the weakest link of the pride, he moved through the herds of dogs and over to his little brother. Hiding the tanned body under his own, Runo's teeth did the talking for him while a few low growls seeped through his fangs baring themselves clearly.

Muren got lost in the mess of violence and chaos that was the Hyena attack, and finally came to grip with his surroundings as Runo covered his body with his own. " Runo what are you doing?!" he panicked, Runo had been bitten into by the mutts. " I can take care of myself! " The young lion protested under his older brother, what if because of him, Runo couldn't defend himself properly? He thought, then something worse came to his mind, " what About mom?! " he yelled and tried to spot her among the mass of Hyena bodies. What if her heart problems acted up? Muren shook with terror, he couldn't lose anyone, Murens body streaked out from under Runo's, he wasn't strong but he was fast. It was a horribly stupid move of him to make though, he was now attracting some attention as he dashed through the field to see if his mother was okay, and had a few Hyenas tailing him.

  Baba knew how to handle hyena's, he'd had his share of fights over a carcass or a good sleeping spot. And then there were the ones that just liked to cause trouble, like the large group that had decided to pick a fight now. Baba used his size and weight to his advantage, jaws and claws snapping and lashing out at any Hyena that got too close for comfort.
  Baba spotted the young male run from the fight, heading off in another direction, unfortuantly attracting the attention of a few hyena's as he fled. Baba chased after. He couldn't waste time, the others were back with the majority, and Baba knew they would need all the help he could get. He simply drew their attention away with a few attacks, drawing them back to the fray by snapping at any that would try to follow the young male instead of react to his baiting. When finally he had the hyena's that had been following the young male chasing after him he threw himself into the fight, big body barging through as he snapped and growled, chasing a few away from the injured Korvo.
  Baba had been distracted with is front as three of the hyena's baited him, snarling as he felt the fangs of one of the hyena's sink into his hind legs. He spun, jaws reaching out as he pulled the hyena from his leg, turning to the ones in front of him, reminding himself to watch his rear.

Awiti had been nearly asleep when the chaos began. She opened her eyes and blinked numerous times untill her vision was clear enough to see the large pack of hyenas fighting with Baba Korvo and Runo. SHe rose to her feet and stood in front of her mother and sister who had not yet heard the hyenas. Awiti watched in horror as Korvo Runo and Baba all were being bitten and scratched by these filthy mutts. Awiti's jaw dropped and she let out a roar to draw some away, she did not dare leave her mothers side because of her weak heart but instead prayed that any one would help her. As the lower tones of her roar left her mouth and traveled at the hyenas, Muren had begun rushing toward her, he must have been concerend about mother aswell because Runo had been protecting him using his own body to stand over Muren.

Awiti smiled and Muren and let her claws stratch at the earth waiting for a hyena to come thier way. Her head was hung low to the ground but her eyes stared directly in front her of, she was shaking and nervous but she was ready to fight to the death in order to save her mother and siblings. A few hyenas had heard her and stopped attacking Runo and Baba  to come fight these smaller lions. Awiti tensed her body and swatted at the hyenas muzzles with her claws out and teeth barring. She lungded at one, as if play fighting and tackled him to the ground biting at his its head and back hoping it would simply leave after being hurt.

Awiti did not expect this creature to whine and cry like it was-- she released it from her grasp and watched it run back the way it had come. The next thing she knew she was on the ground with her vision fading and little Muren was fighting off hyenas--alone.
